This interior renovation of an unoccupied retail building incorporates offices, forensic laboratories, and property and evidence storage. The new facility creates an improved work environment that reduces the possibility of contamination of evidence and improves the security of evidence. There is adequate space for future personnel growth and the ability to potentially undertake additional forensic science services.

Forensic labs and support spaces include evidence receiving, controlled substance, latent print, firearms, photography, and forensic biology/DNA. The Crime Lab is ISO17025 accredited in drug chemistry, biology, toxicology, latent prints, and firearms/toolmarks. The lab director gave special credit to the planning and design of the facility and said it made a huge difference in qualifying for the more stringent accreditation.
